Biog

Vijay became totally addicted to salsa in 2006, and went to regular classes several times a week before settling for his favourite class at Oddfellows in Clifton on Thursdays. Since then he has also learnt Bachata, Cha Cha and Rueda so there's never a dull moment on the dancefloor! He loves the variety of dance and likes to adopt his style to the person he is dancing with - and of course the music.

Lately he has been experimenting with fusing Salsa, Bollywood and Bhangra to create a fun dance style that suits modern and traditional Indian rhythms. He is involved in voluntary work with the South Gloucestershire Asian Project which promotes many dance forms for fun and also to aid towards social integration.

A typical week for Vijay includes one night of dance fitness, one salsa class and one party night. He gets a real buzz from dancing, and at party nights will dance with as many people as possible – even if it means two at once!
