BBC TV's children's channel CBBC is challenging 1 Million kids to get active & 'Do Something Different' before the end of this summer. It can be anything from Archery to Zorbing - & everything in between!
As part of this challenge, Exmouth Salsa is running its Funky Latin Jazz dance course to give anyone who may be thinking of trying something different a chance to come along & give it a go. They can then text, email or write to CBBC & add their names to the DSD challenge!
The course, where Latin dance meets the street, combines funky Latin footwork with cool Street Jazz body movements (no partnerwork!), & is taught by Latin dance experts Angus & Christina, whose enthusiasm & sense of humour is totally infectious! The finished routine will then be performed on the last session at Exmouth Pavilion as part of the Exmouth Festival's Schools' Concert.
So if your child has never danced before, or usually sticks to Tap or Ballet - 'Do Something Different' & become '1 in a Million' - you never know, they may even end up on TV!
The 5-week course starts 4.30 Thursday 26 th April at Exmouth RFC & costs £20. For more information or to book (places limited) call Sonja on 01395 225 824
